Hydro is a two movement piece for horn and piano that depicts contrasting states of water. The first movement, Still, is characterized by a slow tempo with blocked chords in the piano, representing the quiet stillness of the underwater depths. This movement directly flows into the second movement, fittingly titled Flow. Representing flowing water, this movement is much faster and features many meter changes and a constant eighth note pulse.
